Friday Fun
I’m thinking of starting a new series titled “Friday Fun”. I remember when I used to work “the 9 to 5″, that Fridays were always a tad more relaxed than the days leading up to it. Lunches took a little longer, employees were more jovial and there was definitely a lightness to the work atmosphere. Even the managers were less dogged in their demands. So since I work from home I have decided to make Fridays a little less “worky”. I’m not sure how I’ll run this series so who knows what will go here. For today, here are a few offbeat news stories*. Hopefully they’ll crack a smile..:)

Read the post about a phone number sending people to an adult line, thought I would share my story. I work for a major oil company doing support for site level employees when they have problems with their computers. One of the units of software is a antiquated thing which has alot of old information in it, one piece being the phone number to the help desk. The phone number that was in the software on this particular error message that had recently resurfaced after years of dormancy was abandoned years ago, and now lead to the “hottest adult chat available” Thankfully no-one entered the credit card numbers else we’d be filling up our tanks so someone could be getting their jollies
