Private Label Rights

Hi all. It has been quite hectic and I haven’t been able to update in a while. I did want to add this post though as a means to possibly win a contest hosted by The Business Writing Network. I came across their website from another site and I liked what I saw on the BWN Blog. I have been thinking about sampling some PLR content to see if it would fit into niche sites that I know little about. If you do not know what PLR is, it stands for Private Label Rights and is basically specialized content/articles that are well researched in different areas from different authors. Much like what you would find on a free articles site with one exception, possibly two.

The first exception is that there is no author to credit so you can add to the content, mix things up, and reword the content to your liking, thus making it more personal. The second exception is that the articles may, on some PLR sites, be limited in quantity so that there is less of a chance of being slapped by Google for having duplicate content…especially if you tweak the content to make it more of your own.

I intend to do a more in depth post on the topic of PLR at a  future date so watch out for that. And if I do happen to win some content from The Business Writing Network I will let you all know how useful it is and how it can be used in a practical situation. Peace.

I briefly looked at PLR articles at the beginning of my Internet Marketing career and at that time their was conflicting opinions as to how affective they were. The consensus was that most people new to the IM business either did not bother to make their articles unique or just didn’t know how.

I was half expecting that by this time somebody would have created software to do this quickly but as far as I know the best method is getting the articles written for you.

In the beginning I too looked at plr articles, I fell for buying a whole heap for a niche I didn’t really know much about, when I came to edit them it lead me off on a wild goose chace to try to interperate them. LOL Thanks for the info.

Using private label rights articles can have it benefits but also a lot of pitfalls.

It’s a benefit if you are wanting add content to your site about a niche you don’t know much about. Just add your own voice and flair and you’re set.

It’s a pitfall if you are not much good at writing yourself and don’t know how to take the material to a further level.

I learned a lot by using plr content, but in the end it might be a good idea to write most of your articles yourself.

A friend recommend Mike Setup’s PLR Article Pro program for people interest in content markting, because of the software that makes article submission easier. Has anyone used the program, and what has been your experience?
